> The Horse Lover

By sedron | November 5, 2007

Of Flies and HorsesThere was once a man who loved his horse very much.

He waited on it hand and foot (with concerted, never-ending effort). He used a wicker basket to catch the horse’s droppings and a huge conch shell to catch its urine.

One day, when the man went to slap a fly off his horse’s backside, the horse was startled and kicked the man who died instantly from the blow.

You may love a person, but that person may not necessarily understand your love. Treat people the way they want to be treated, not the way you wish others to treat you. Communicate with others in the way they can understand, or it will be like playing music to a cow who does not understand why you play the music for.

> Sudan Famine - cherish foods and water

By sedron | November 4, 2007

Sudan FamineMany of us take what we have for granted, not knowing that we actually live a wealthy life which you may perceive otherwise. When I grew up, I was taught to finish everything in my plate at each meal, including every single grain of rice. However, how many of us still do this? Some of us even think it’s natural to have some foods left on the plate to be discarded, because the tummy is too full.

I’d like to invite you to read the following real life story happening in Sudan. You will discover how lucky we are to live in this country….

My great friends let this not come to you as a surprise, but it’s real have them living around us and in our neighbourhood today. We can change it by lending a helping hand to those in need. So our friends and all people will thank NATURE for food and water that they already have.

> The Caged Pheasant

By sedron | November 2, 2007

The CageFinding food is not easy for the wild pheasant, traveling ten steps before getting a single worm.

Even though it has to walk a hundred paces for a drink of water, it still prefers this living to being locked up in a cage

On the other hand, a caged pheasant may have enough to eat and drink, and its feathers may be bright and shiny. But, it will always crave the freedom of being on the outside.

The person who understands how to nurture life would never pursue material pleasure at the expense of freedom. Yet, in today’s society, how many truly carefree people do you see?

Do people pursue material pleasure such as wealth, reputation, beauty, big house, expensive LCD, etc because they want to ? Or, is it the society that we create from our own hands mold the way we behave?

> Does Master Know?

By sedron | November 1, 2007

IQ testAn apprentice asked the Master: “Is there a standard of knowledge for all things?”

Master: “How should I know?”

Apprentice: “Geez…what a letdown.”

Master: “Don’t be diasppointed. How do you know….when I say ‘know’, I don’t really mean ‘not know’?….or, when I say ‘not know,’ I don’t really mean ‘know’?”

The Master continued…

“If a person sleeps in a wet place, he’s likely to get arthritis, right? But, would a mudfish?

If a person tried to live in a tall tree, he woud be afraid, but would a monkey?

People, mudfish, and monkey all live in different places. Where’s the standard?

People eat meat, deers eat grass, crows eat mice, giant centipedes eat snakes. These four animals are all different. Who’s to say which of their diets is right?”

Standards are different for all things, so the standard set by man is by no means the only “certain” standard.

> Is Paris Hilton Really Beautiful?

By sedron | October 31, 2007

Paris HiltonIf from the very beginning we had called the sky “Horse” and the ground “Point”, then the sky would be “Horse” and the ground be “Point”.

When people think that something is wrong, they say “wrong”. When something is right, they say “right”. But what are the standards of “right” and “wrong”?

People think Paris Hilton is beautiful, but what would a fish think? If a fish saw Paris Hilton, it might very well swim away in disgust.

In creating knowledge from a human standpoint, people trap themselves in their own limited world.
