> The Horse Lover
By sedron | November 5, 2007
There was once a man who loved his horse very much.
He waited on it hand and foot (with concerted, never-ending effort). He used a wicker basket to catch the horse’s droppings and a huge conch shell to catch its urine.
One day, when the man went to slap a fly off his horse’s backside, the horse was startled and kicked the man who died instantly from the blow.
You may love a person, but that person may not necessarily understand your love. Treat people the way they want to be treated, not the way you wish others to treat you. Communicate with others in the way they can understand, or it will be like playing music to a cow who does not understand why you play the music for.
夫愛馬者,以筐盛矢,以蜃盛溺。適有蚊虻僕緣,而拊之不時,則缺銜首碎胸。意有所至而愛有所亡。可不慎邪!
